I stopped off last night for the Kannapolis City Council Meeting, and part of the agenda was considering the development agreement(water/sewer allotment) for the commercial component of Kellswater.
The Council approved the agreement, and the developer said the project could move forward immediately. The target opening date is Spring 2025 for the Lowe's grocery store. Other announced tenants currently are Caribou Coffee and Heartland Dental, with more to come.
Quick note - approximately half of the seats and bricks have been sold as part of the Gem renovation. The theater will close on the first of the year for several months to complete the work, but the intention is to have a grand re-opening in the spring.
